Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Work Program Manager for their Vancouver location
Overview:
Our client is looking for a Program Manager to provides day?to?day operational support to regional program managers across NI/SI and Coastal teams. This role is designed to build future program management capability by training across all programs, learning tools and processes, and taking on foundational tasks that enable continuity of operations during high?demand periods, corrective work events, and planned outage support.
Role Accountabilities
- Support program managers during corrective or trouble response events, including field coordination and administrative support.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, execution tracking, and reporting for program and project work.
- Manage routine tasks across multiple programs to reduce workload pressures on senior program managers.
- Support material coordination, contract administration, and vendor billing processes.
- Collect, review, and maintain program workplans.
- Submit workplans for pre?screening and ensure updates are reflected in PGTAR.
- Process Work Change Requests (WCRs) and track status to completion.
- Update monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports.
- Assist in program closeout activities, documentation, and financial reconciliation.
- Develop proficiency in PGTAR, SAP, Work Plan tools, Unit List Tools, and Work Change Request workflows.
- Update, verify, and maintain data accuracy across planning and program management platforms.
- Learn foundational transmission construction, maintenance standards, and strategies (via SafeHub and client repositories).
- Support corrective program delivery, including prioritization, coordination, and data entry.
- Contribute to managing the rising demand for corrective work.
- Prepare documentation and analysis to support reliability decision?making
Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree Engineering or relevant field
- A minimum five (5) years of project management experience or equivalent.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Willingness to learn multiple program areas and adapt to changing priorities.
- Basic understanding of project or program management principles.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with Field Operations, Engineering, Work Delivery, and other stakeholder groups.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$50.50 and CA$62.50
