Job Title: Transmission & Distribution Maintenance Manager

Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Transmission & Distribution Maintenance Manager for various projects across BC.
Overview:
Our client’s Program and Contract Management (PCM) Business Unit is seeking an individual to join the team Managing Transmission *& Distribution ( T&D) Maintenance Programs.
Role Accountabilities
- Transmission Portfolio – T&D Fire Risk Mitigation Contracts
- In-Field and Desktp QA of External vendors to ensure adherence to standards and quality data entry.
- In fire season emergency contract (Retardant & Grubbing)
- Off-fire season planned contract (Fire Mesh)
Management of Inspection Programs Contracted to External Resources
- Advance site visits, scope vetting (Corrosion/Switch Inspections) for access/vegetation.
- Review inspections in Transmission Lines Data Server (TLDS) application as they are returned.
- Periodic in-field audits to ensure adherence to standards and quality data entry.
- Bi-weekly safety calls with contractors to discuss safety and operational issues. –
- Entry of any IMS incidents
- Entry of Safe Work Observations (SWO)
- Review of invoices prior to submitting to P3 WPM for approval
Decommissioning Programs
- Advance site inspections and scope verification, site visits and work oversight during construction, completed work verification.
Condition-Based Repairs
- Advance site visits, scope vetting, gather stakeholder requirements (IP, PCM, LFO)
- If required, development of work packages for Internal Work Program Manager (WPM) to contract out.
- Coordinate internal and external resources as required to mobilize to site.
- Review of completed work order packages for quality, system updates, invoicing approval by WPM.
Education and Skills
- A minimum nine (9) years of construction experience or equivalent.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, relevant trades certification, or appropriate length of experience in managing power system field work.
- Be familiar with Utility Power Systems, Processes, Culture, Values, Language.
- Have a strong program, project, or construction management background.
- Have experience developing new programs, field auditing vendors, and reporting.
- Be willing and able to travel and complete field-based assignments as required, potentially over longer timeframes.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$72.00 and CA$89.00
