Job Title: Technical Writer
Location: Burnaby, BC (Remote)
Estimated Duration: 6 Months

Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are presently looking for a Technical Writer for their Remote location.

Responsibilities:
 

  •  Prepare instruction manuals, journal articles, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily and in a way that is actionable by the reader.
  • Develop, gather, and disseminate technical information among customers, designers, and manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with Communications team to ensure brand standards are met.
  • Perform technical writing activities such as developing safety procedures and program materials

Qualifications:
 

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Writing, Communication, Journalism or equivalent – portfolio required
  • A minimum three(3) years of working experience as a writer.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word and PowerPoint)
  • Advanced Adobe skills
  • Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$37.50 and CA$46.50
