Job Title: Sr Electrical Security Engineer
Location: Burnaby, BC (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 12 Months

Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Security Engineer for their Burnaby location

Overview:

The Security Engineer will have a background in electrical, protection and control design experience. This will include security design, wiring schematics and drafting equipment layouts.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Electrical, P&C or both design experience including but not limited to:
    • Equipment layout design
    • Wiring and schematic design
    • Equipment sizing, cable type and size selection
    • Working with drafters, designers, and POR
    • Familiar with engineering and drafting standards (an asset)
  • Security design, including equipment type, layout, wiring and schematic
  • Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) design
  • Perform testing and commissioning at site
  • Provide support on standard update

Experience:
 

  • A minimum eight (8) years of experience in a relevant engineering field or equivalent.
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
  • P.Eng and P2P
  • Driver's license
  • Electrical engineering experience

     

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between ¤67.00 and ¤83.00
