Your role within the team:
- Prepare project schedule: Provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Load Resource/Budget Schedule: Lead and provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Set up Baseline Schedule: Provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Update Schedule Provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Issue schedule for internal use: Provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Issue schedule for External use: Lead and provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Monitor and control the progress of the work against the Schedule: Provide guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Prepare and update Resource requirements reports guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Report critical schedule issues: guidance and support to lower-level planners.
- Identification and explanation of variances between current schedule, plan, earned values and forecasts, and communicate to the Project Controls Manager, Project Manager.
- Present updates to Lead/Manager/Project or P&L lead.
The ideal candidate:
- Must have University degree (B. Eng, BCom, etc).
- Minimum 15 years of relevant planning and project controls experience, experience in engineering and construction projects environment.
- Proficient in MS office suite of software, especially in Microsoft Excel.
- Thorough knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Ability to learn new software as per the company standards.
- Expert Knowledge of project management techniques and a number of years of hands on experience (i.e., critical path method, progress measurement and earned value technique) and experience in Project planning, analyzing and reporting.
- Strong organizational skills are required with attention to details.
- Ability to establish priorities and work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of the general project controls policies and procedures.
- Solid report writing, communication and presentation skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills with a results-oriented approach.
- Ability to work well with Clients and Alliance partners.
- Ability to work with staff, build and maintain good working relationships with Project Controls team.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$95.00
