Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Red Seal Electrician for their BC locations, for a one year assignment
Overview
Our client is looking for a Red Seal Electrician for construction work at various substations, transmission and hydroelectric facilities in central BC.
Role Accountabilities
- Ensure work site safety by prioritizing the safe execution of work and performing Safe Work Observations using excellent knowledge in safety standards and regulations to improve safety performance.
- Support contract and/or work order administration by collaborating with contractors and/or internal construction services to ensure that the work, materials, progress, and costs meet expectations so that projects are implemented as planned.
- Act as a subject matter expert by providing advice on complex technical issues to develop future capability
- Respond appropriately to internal and third-party construction inquiries by using excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to professionally represent on-site, as assigned.
Education and Skills
- 10+ years as certified Red Seal Electrician with utility experience.
- Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology from an Institute of Technology or relevant trades, apprenticeship courses, or equivalent
- Excellent working knowledge of safety standards and regulations such as Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Standards and WorkSafe Regulations
- Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
- Class 5 drivers license in good standing
- Good computer skills including working knowledge of MS Office suite including Excel.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$60.00 and CA$74.00
