They are currently looking for an Project Security Manager (Intermediate) for Calgary, AB location.
The opportunity
Our client is seeking an Enterprise Security (ES) Service Delivery Lead who has knowledge and experience in understanding the complexities of the Clients Organization, its services, assets, systems, and vendors. The individual must have proven skills, competencies, and capacity to work with Managed Service providers and internal stakeholders to drive effective and efficient operations.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Manager, ES GRC team, this position is responsible for managing and ensuring that 24X7 services are delivered for ES operations by partners and vendor suppliers and that they are meeting key performance indicators, service levels, contract deliverables and maintaining end user satisfaction. This position will also coordinate, and track third party spend. In consultation with ES Leads and the Service Management Office (SMO), the Service Delivery Lead will manage partner & supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance while ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of high quality ES services within the Org. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of Cyber Security operations, controls and governance and will be able to provide oversight in resolving complex issues.
Role Accountabilities:
Service Delivery
• Act as the ES Service Delivery representative, end users and partners/ suppliers for operational issues and major incidents
• Proactive management of vendor(s) quality of services and delivery in addition to reviewing vendor(s) performance and assessing trending information to assist in the improvement of the service being provided
• Provide recommendations to the senior management team on operations and services
• Chair meetings to review performance and progress with vendor(s) on key areas – SLA performance, risks, issues, contractual gaps, service gaps, service improvements, process compliance and overall vendor performance
• Act as the ES operations escalation point for major incidents
• Regularly conduct formal reviews with our client’s Service Delivery Management on Supplier performance, presenting and making recommendations on Supplier SLA performance improvement plans, contractual gaps, risks & issues
• Oversee all reports and documentation related to ES operations
• Guide the execution of operational and standard processes performed by suppliers
• Monitor, assess and report on the operational performance of suppliers
• Take corrective action to address service level variances and recommend contractual amendments
• Address service gaps and work with partners on corrective actions
• Guide the transition of new systems to steady state operations
• Work with services (IS Operations, Shadow IT) to align on service delivery
• Guide vendors/suppliers to adapt operational processes to address business demand changes
• Oversight for any intake or demand for operations-related projects and project portfolios
• Analyze existing operations and engage suppliers to develop recommendations for the improvement of IT operations including the development of action plans to resolve operational deficiencies including Go for Green plan oversight and successful delivery to remediation
• Ensure vendor/supplier compliance with all policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security (compliance and risk), disaster recovery, service provisioning and change management (inclusive ITSM processes)
• Manage onboarding processes for new CWC/vendor staff
• Lead for ES Operations for operational readiness for technology updates, new initiatives, and project processes and engagement
Third Party Spend Management:
• Track and plan all renewals with Supply Chain Contract Analysts and Budget and Contract Owners to determine strategic opportunities of reductions and additions into third party spend
• Compile and report third party spend to create an accurate forecast and track to budget
• Coordinate the work to manage and reduce risk around automatic renewals and committed spend
• Escalate and coordinate when required to assist in navigating potential issues throughout the renewal process
Relationship Management:
• Build and foster strategic long-term relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Build and foster long term relationships with internal and external partners (end users, operations delivery)
• Ability to communicate and present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
Leadership:
• Indirectly manage supplier personnel including managing upwards & downwards within the supplier organizations
• Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with ES and IT Leadership, stakeholders, and end users regarding pertinent ES activities
Minimum Qualifications:
• Ten or more years’ experience working with vendors to drive delivery and efficient performance
• Experience working with Managed Service providers in a technology domain
• Solid understanding of supply chain and financial processes
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or a related technical field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and well-versed with fundamental programming concepts and/or data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to build excellent relationships with peers, leaders, technical teams, business users and executives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in business communication and presentations
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using ServiceNow for performance reporting
