Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Project Manager – Environmental Mitigation for their Burnaby or Vancouver location
Overview:
Our client is looking for a Project Manager to coordinate and drive the drafting, review, and execution of mitigation measures for agreements with First Nations. The role is expected to take ownership of assigned workstreams, proactively coordinate stakeholders, subject matter experts, advance action items, and maintain momentum toward key milestones.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead coordination of the drafting, review, and revision of NCTL Phase 1 and Phase 2 mitigation measures developed with First Nations and supporting plans and transaction documents.
- Liaise with the NCTL team, client Legal, Indigenous Relations, Environment, Finance, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely input, review, and resolution of comments.
- Proactively manage mitigation development activities by coordinating stakeholders, advancing action items, monitoring dependencies, and driving timely completion of deliverables.
- Maintain trackers, schedules, action logs, plans and document control processes related to agreements and transaction deliverables.
- Monitor and report on the status of agreements, mitigation implementation, key milestones, dependencies, decisions, and action items.
- Proactively organize and facilitate working sessions, review meetings, and stakeholder discussions required to advance drafting and transaction activities.
- Exercise independent judgment in managing assigned workstreams, identifying issues, recommending next steps, and escalating matters where appropriate.
- Provide other transaction and project coordination support as directed by client NCTL Environment team.
Education and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree Engineering or relevant field
- A minimum of five (5) years of project management experience or equivalent.
- Experience supporting environmental agreements, mitigation programs, or related project work.
- Experience in a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar project support role.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience reviewing, interpreting, and working with contract language and complex documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between ¤56.50 and ¤70.00
