Job Title: Project Engineer
Location: Mississauga, ON (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: Fulltime
Our client, a leader in aerospace and space systems, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team. This role offers the opportunity to provide both program leadership and safety/mission assurance expertise on high-profile programs supporting government and commercial customers, including NASA.

The Role
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Safety & Technical Program Lead will:

Lead day-to-day execution of cross-functional project teams, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

Draft, review, and approve safety documentation (SSA, FMEA, Hazard Reports).

Support Safety Review Meetings and refine internal safety processes.

Determine safety classifications of subsystems and coach engineers on system safety implications.

Plan and report on safety-related work, including fault detection and recovery strategies.

Lead tiger teams to resolve critical safety issues.

Manage program risks, opportunities, and process gaps.

Represent the program in customer-facing meetings, providing technical justification and negotiation.
The Ideal Candidate

Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.

5–10 years’ experience in aerospace, space systems, robotics, or related industries.

Strong knowledge of aerospace safety processes and best practices.

Proven experience with safety documentation (SSA, FMEA, Hazard Reports).

Familiarity with Earned Value Management, risk management, and the full project life cycle.

Excellent leadership, communication, and customer-facing skills.

Ability to balance thoroughness with practicality in delivering results.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90,000 and CA$105,000
