Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Project Coordinator – Non-Integrated projects for their Burnaby location.
Overview:
The NIA Project Coordinator will provide program support, including process development, standardization of documentation, and other program development activities as needed. Role will also include operations support in the form of meetings management.
Role Accountabilities
- Plan, direct, and report on business process change or similar project activities by consistently monitoring project benefits, resources and status and creating documents such as project plans, action logs, communication plans, status reports and post implementation reviews so that the project is implemented as planned.
- Develop project plans and risk management plans for business process change or similar projects by identifying, analyzing, and monitoring risks for effective risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
- Complete project management activities including scoping, planning, managing, monitoring, and reporting on project tasks by using intermediate skills in Microsoft Office as well as project management programs to fulfill client’s business needs.
- Maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders through regular reporting and communication using excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills enabling timely progression of projects.
Education and Skills
- A minimum five (5) years of project management experience or equivalent.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience leading change management
- Developing needs assessment experience
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- PMP designation is considered an asset
- Utility sector/crown corporation experience is considered an asset
- Knowledge of SmartSheet is considered an asset
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$52.00 and CA$64.50
