Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Program/Project Manager – Transmission Line Maintenance for their Burnaby location, for an estimated 1 year assignment

Overview:

Our client is looking for a Project Manager to provide strategic oversight and accountability for provincial and regional transmission line maintenance programs, ensuring delivery within budget, scope, and timelines while upholding quality and safety standards

Role Accountabilities
 

  • Evaluating and batching work packages for efficient execution, managing work planning and execution, and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Monitor program performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and oversee regulatory compliance, procurement approvals, data management, and reporting.
  • The position also includes occasional fieldwork and support for emergency response efforts.
  •  In addition to managing assigned programs, the successful candidate will lead engineering and screening activities within the Wood Pole Lines & Maintenance portfolio and oversee the corrective program.

Education and Skills
 

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering, an asset
  • A minimum nine (9) years of project management experience or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in program or project management, ideally within a utility, engineering, or construction environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across diverse groups including engineers, contractors, Indigenous relations, safety, environment, and field crews.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with demonstrated ability to identify gaps and drive process improvements.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation
