Job Title: Program Manager – Non-Integrated Areas
Location: Burnaby, BC (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 8 Months
Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Program Manager – Non-Integrated projects for their Burnaby location.
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager (contractor) to oversees multiple initiatives related to long-term planning in the NIAs including the load forecast program & preparation of long-term planning reports.
Role Accountabilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of the Load Forecasting Program
- Oversee the preparation, review, and publication of Long-Term Planning reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and accessibility for public audiences.
- Coordinate input and collaboration across diverse teams including Planning & Strategy, Indigenous Relations as well as local First Nations representatives.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and communication strategies.
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and reviews to ensure alignment and progress.
- Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and resolve issues that may impact program delivery.
- Track and report on program performance, milestones, and deliverables to senior leadership.
Education and Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline
- PMP
- Proven experience in project and program management
- Expertise and experience building new and or changing existing field operations/maintenance/asset management processes driven by changes in equipment/technology.
- Expertise and ability to work effectively in complex multi-stakeholder environments, including external entities like 3rd party suppliers.
- Expertise in process development, resource planning, leading diverse project teams,
- Ability to understand technical information and translate to different audiences. Preference for having expertise working on business process changes related to field maintenance and operations, front-lines, engineering and asset management groups.
- Outstanding organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage high-change environments with many moving parts.
- Expertise with various tools, software and systems for project/program management including MS project, Sharepoint, excel, and others
