Job Title: Procurement Advisor
Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 12 Months
Our client is a Canadian integrated energy company. There operations include oil sands development, production and upgrading; offshore oil and gas; petroleum refining in Canada and the US. They also have a retail energy distribution network
They are currently looking for a Procurement Advisor for their Calgary location.
Overview:
This resource will be responsible for the sourcing and procurement lifecycle activities supporting capital projects across client’s midstream assets
Responsibilities:
- Manage the portfolio and actively participate in meetings to collate demand , evaluate business requirements and identify optimization opportunities
- Source, procure and ensure timely delivery of materials and services
- Develop RFQ packages, bid evaluation and selection criteria, lead negotiations and form Purchase Orders for material and service commitments
- Manage the Purchase Order process, including formation, change management , and close-out activities
- Advise business stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives across al aspects of supply chain
- Drive compliance and SCM policies, processes, procedures, and strategies
Experience:
- A minimum six years of directly related experience and/or a combination of commercial and technical work experience
- A Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, economics, Engineering or equivalent
- Experience in procurement, contract management, and/or strategic sourcing, with demonstrated capability in leading sourcing events, negotiation and supplier performance management.
- Experience leading complex procurement initiatives involving multiple stakeholders groups
- Understanding of and experience with engineering and construction project processes, along with strong negotiating skills.
- A strong understanding of contracting and commercial concepts and processes
- Advanced customer service skills
- Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between ¤54.00 and ¤65.00
