Job Title: NDE Inspector
Location: Cambridge, ON (Onsite)
Estimated Duration: Fulltime
Primary Function:
To perform all tasks of a NDE Inspector and to conduct non-destructive examinations.
Tasks:
- Perform NDE based on certifications in all areas of the Shop.
- Read and interpret documentation, including drawings and operating procedures.
- Create inspection reports, maintain and file documentation.
- Demonstrate good workmanship and practices.
- Communicate effectively with internal team members (i.e. peers, production leadership, Project Management, Engineering) as well as customer representatives.
- Work in a safe manner, complying with all health, safety and environmental guidelines/regulations.
- Understand and adhere to quality requirements and productivity expectations.
Qualifications:
- Proven commitment to workplace safety.
- Must possess either MT CGSB-2 OR PT CGSB-2 and/or 1 of the following 5:
- CEDO
- UT CGSB-1
- RT CGSB-1
- 5 years as Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external company
- Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2).
- Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in nuclear power-related industry.
- Commitment to quality and the ability to work as a positive, effective team member, willing to go the extra mile to ensure we meet our customer expectations.
- Proficient with computer software.
- Must be available to work any of the following shifts:
- Days: 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. (Mon – Thurs)
- Nights: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Mon – Thurs)
Weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun – 33 hrs paid 40 hrs)
