Employ design approaches that ease production and assembly.
-
Provide engineering insight to internal teams such as drafting, sourcing, production, testing, QA, and commissioning.
-
Engage in design sessions and technical discussions, including external reviews.
-
Use both traditional and simulation-based techniques (like FEA) to evaluate structural stresses in hardware such as piping, support structures, and vessels.
-
Stay informed on regulations and design standards relevant to the nuclear sector in Canada.
-
Contribute to high-quality outcomes by managing design work effectively, tracking progress, and maintaining strong performance against objectives.
-
Promote adherence to established internal processes, codes, and industry guidelines.
-
Contribute to process improvements and adoption of new technologies.
-
Participate in customer engagement and ensure that engineering work aligns with market expectations.

Uphold safety and compliance standards throughout all project phases.
Qualifications
-
Degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized institution.
-
Actively pursuing licensure with the provincial engineering regulatory body.
-
Up to three years of experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, aerospace, mining, or oil & gas.
-
Exposure to project execution across full life cycles with some independent capability.
-
Understanding of systems engineering principles and how various disciplines (controls, software, manufacturing) interact.
-
Strong communication skills—able to convey technical topics to varied audiences.
-
Analytical thinker with creativity and an aptitude for collaborative work.
-
Open to occasional travel and short-term field assignments.
-
Above all, an inventive and solutions-oriented mindset is essential.
