  • Review Asset Suite design panels, forms, and engineering documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with client requirements.

  • Apply applicable nuclear quality assurance procedures, including SLN QA requirements.

  • Maintain a strong nuclear safety culture through the application of event-free tools and technical conscience principles.

  • Identify relevant operating experience (OPEX) and communicate lessons learned to improve engineering execution.

  • Support engineering activities involving pressure boundary requirements and applicable regulatory interfaces.

Multidisciplinary Coordination & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for implementing technical interface requirements within assigned designs.

  • Coordinate technical interfaces across engineering disciplines, project stakeholders, and functional groups.

  • Organize and participate in COMS and other project coordination meetings, including discussions with Procurement Engineering.

  • Interface with vendors to monitor technical deliverables and ensure compliance with project requirements.

  • Resolve technical issues and coordinate design decisions across project teams.

Implementation & Project Support

  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and Availability for Service (AFS) activities as required.

  • Provide technical support during site implementation and installation activities.

  • Ensure field changes are appropriately reviewed, documented, and approved under applicable procedures.

  • Support the successful transition of engineering designs through implementation and project closeout activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Engineering degree from an accredited university, preferably in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario, in good standing.

  • Minimum 10 years of nuclear power plant engineering experience.

  • Significant Mechanical Engineering experience, including demonstrated Design Team Lead responsibilities on nuclear projects.

  • Direct project experience with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and/or Bruce Power.

  • Strong working knowledge of CANDU reactor design and nuclear plant systems.

  • Detailed understanding and practical application of Engineering Change Control (ECC) processes and governance.

  • Hands-on experience using Asset Suite, including populating and reviewing design panels, forms, and engineering documentation.

  • Ability to independently lead technical engineering activities and multidisciplinary design packages with minimal supervision.

  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical engineering design and pressure boundary-related project work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with NP90 engineering procedures.

  • Working knowledge of pressure boundary licensing requirements.

  • Experience interfacing with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) and Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC).

  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, interpersonal, and communication capabilities.

  • Demonstrated customer focus and ability to operate effectively in demanding, multidisciplinary project environments.

  • Experience supporting engineering design packages through testing, commissioning, and implementation.
