Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in a fast-paced, Just-In-Time / Just-In-Sequence production environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preventative, planned, and emergency maintenance, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to support production needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative, planned, and emergency maintenance on production equipment.
- Respond to line calls, troubleshoot, and repair machinery to support continuous production.
- Install and commission new plant equipment as required.
- Fabricate fixtures, workstations, and other production aids.
- Modify equipment to meet safety, quality, and efficiency requirements.
- Troubleshoot and program PLCs.
- Carry out facility maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical work.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
- Follow Lock-Out/Tag-Out and other safety procedures at all times.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, IATF 16949, CSR (Customer Specific Requirements), and ISO 14001 standards.
- Participate in World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives.
- Exercise authority to stop production in cases of safety or quality concerns.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12 OSSD; Technical Trade School with 442A License (or equivalent).
- Experience: Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of IATF 16949/CSR and ISO 14001 standards preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Electrical troubleshooting and ability to read/interpret blueprints.
- Pneumatic/hydraulic troubleshooting.
- PLC programming and diagnostics.
- Grinding, fabrication, and general equipment repair.
- Certifications/Training: Forklift operation, Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures.
- Languages: English (required); German is an asset.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$94.00 and CA$75,000
