Job Title: IT Project Manager (Specialist)

Job Description:
 
Our client is a leader in the responsible development and reliable and safe operation of North American energy infrastructure. They are one of the continent’s largest providers of gas storage and related services.
 
They are currently looking for an IT Project Manager (Specialist) for their Calgary, AB location.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
• Lead the end-to-end execution of the DR and MVC program, including governance, operating, and delivery model implementation.
• Translate vendor recommendations into structured work packages and oversee their execution.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors (e.g., PwC, Accenture) to align technical and process deliverables.
• Develop and manage program roadmap, timelines, and maturity benchmarks (6, 12, 18 months).
• Define and manage roles across delivery and sustainment teams, including recovery test coordination.
• Oversee RFP development and vendor engagement strategies, including cost and scope management.
• Prepare and deliver executive presentations, including ELT and VP readouts.
• Monitor progress against NIST and other resiliency frameworks, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and ensure alignment with strategic planning and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Serve as a key liaison between technical teams, business units, and senior leadership to ensure transparency, alignment, and timely decision-making.
 
 
Qualifications:
 
• 15+ years of experience in program and project management, preferably in IT resilience, disaster recovery, or enterprise risk.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi-vendor initiatives in large organizations.
• Strong understanding of DR frameworks (e.g., NIST), operating models, and governance structures.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, including executive-level reporting
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience with vendor management, RFP processes, and budget planning.
• Familiarity with energy or utilities sector is an asset.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$90.00 and CA$110.00
