Job Title: IT Project Manager – SOX Compliance
Location: Calgary, AB (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 9 Months
Our client is a leader in the responsible development and reliable and safe operation of North American energy infrastructure, Is looking for a Intermediate IT Project Manager for their Calgary AB office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation of a new SOX compliance project within legal systems.
- Develop and execute a phased project plan to establish compliant processes and controls.
- Oversee the Identity Management component of SOX, ensuring appropriate access controls and governance frameworks are implemented.
- Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, IT Security, and Internal Audit teams to define, document, and implement required controls.
- Coordinate implementation and configuration efforts related to SailPoint Identity Management.
- Ensure all SOX controls are documented, tested, and audit-ready.
- Drive risk identification, mitigation planning, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate stakeholder communication, status reporting, and executive updates.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and systems.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security standards and governance policies.
- Manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and budget tracking.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager, leading enterprise-level technology initiatives.
- Proven experience managing SOX compliance projects, particularly IT General Controls (ITGC) and access management controls.
- Strong experience working with Compliance and Internal Audit teams.
- Experience implementing or managing Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Hands-on or strong working knowledge of SailPoint (IdentityIQ or IdentityNow).
- Strong understanding of identity governance, access controls, and segregation of duties (SoD).
- Demonstrated strength in change management and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional teams and navigate complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing projects within Legal or enterprise legal systems.
- Background in Enterprise Security or Information Security programs.
- Familiarity with Waterfall project methodology (nice to have).
- Experience in phased program rollouts or greenfield compliance initiatives.
- PMP, CISM, CISSP, or related certifications are a plus.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$60.00 and CA$70.00
