Field Services Manager — Transmission & Distribution (Ontario)

About the opportunity
We’re partnered with a leading global engineering, EPC and nuclear services organisation delivering major infrastructure and energy programs across Canada. They’re hiring a Field Services Manager to lead high-quality site inspection and construction auditing services for Transmission & Distribution (T&D) projects across Ontario.
Working within a multidisciplinary engineering environment, you’ll lead field teams, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to the safe, efficient delivery of infrastructure that supports reliability and innovation in the energy sector.
Your role
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee site inspections and construction auditing for T&D projects, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and contract requirements.
- Lead and mentor inspectors and auditors, promoting safety, productivity, and technical excellence in the field.
- Coordinate with project schedulers so qualified, trained staff are available for every assignment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, resolving technical and site issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Enforce safety protocols, participate in incident investigations, and adapt safety training to project needs.
- Track service metrics, prepare performance reports, and recommend process and quality improvements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to support smooth delivery and continuous improvement.
About you
- 15+ years in the high-voltage electrical utility industry, with extensive experience constructing distribution lines in urbanized areas.
- Certified Power Lineworker, Powerline Maintainer, or equivalent trade professional.
- 10+ years in management or supervisory roles, leading multidisciplinary field teams and building a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Strong command of applicable regulations and standards — UWPC, EUSR, OHSA, Construction Regulations, O. Reg. 22/04, and relevant MOE and MLITSD requirements — plus a comprehensive understanding of electrical utility systems.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving ability, resolving construction and inspection challenges with an unwavering commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
- Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments — managing competing priorities, leading under pressure, and adapting to changing operational and client needs.

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between ¤120,000 and ¤183,500
