Job Title: Electrification Planning Lead

Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)
    
Estimated Duration: 10 Months

Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Electrification Planning Lead for their Vancouver location.

Overview:

This role will lead planning, regulatory and decision support work on client's suite of electrification programs.

Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead planning, regulatory and decision support work on client's suite of electrification programs.
  • Support management decisions on the suite of programs (e.g. time extensions, wind down, reallocation of labour and expenditures, external communications to customers and trade allies, etc).
  • Prepare content for client applications and reports to government and/or the BC Utilities Commission.
  • Engage with BC government staff as required.
  • Translate business insights into strategic, actionable options by obtaining and organizing key business information, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate decision-making across diverse groups of stakeholders by using excellent skills in communication, critical thinking, and persuasive influencing to deliver recommendations that align to the business goals.
  • Maintain meaningful business relationships by prioritizing strategic considerations in a complex environment with diverse groups of stakeholders so that projects are implemented as planned.
  • Plan and organize business initiatives by using expert knowledge in business drivers, risk tolerance, and trade-off processes, to enable successful integration and adoption in client’s complex and regulated environment.

Experience

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of business analysis and/or management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Advanced English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
  • Energy utility experience is considered an asset
  • Experience with Energy utility programs that promote energy efficiency or electrification among utility customers is considered an asset
  • Experience with Regulatory applications and reports by regulated entities in energy, telecommunications or other fields is considered an asset
