Electrical Technician
Location:  Surrey, BC  (Hybrid)

Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for an Electrical Technician for their Surrey BC location

Overview

Our client is looking for an Electrical Technician to supports Equipment Testing Services through technical, operational, and administrative activities related to electrical test equipment, tools, and inventory management.

 Role Accountabilities
 

  • Maintain and track equipment, tools, and inventory records.
  • Support asset assignments, equipment retirement, and documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and database records.
  • Assist with equipment readiness, maintenance coordination, and operational processes.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to engineers, technologists, and testing personnel.
  • Compile and analyze data using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.

   Education and Skills
 

  •  A minimum of four (4) years of directly related technical work experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience
  • Two (2) year diploma of technology in a relevant discipline or equivalent  
  •  Experience with inventory control, equipment tracking, technical documentation, or operational support
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with inventory control, equipment tracking, technical documentation, or operational support.
  • Experience in utility, engineering, testing, maintenance, construction, or industrial environments is an asset.
  • Ability to safely move and organize equipment, tools, and materials using material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform physical duties in accordance with safety procedures and WorkSafeBC guidelines.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License (or equivalent) in good standing.
  • Occasional travel to other client facilities or field locations may be required.
