Job Title: Cost and Schedule Analyst
Location: Bruce County, ON
Duration: Long-Term Contract (12-Months)
Role Overview:
The Cost and Schedule Analyst is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and control of large and complex capital projects. This role ensures the integration of cost and schedule management practices, providing accurate forecasting, analysis, and reporting in accordance with procedures and project management best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and analyze project schedules in alignment with standards, including facilitating IAP sessions and performing critical path, PERT, and CPM analyses.
- Establish and maintain project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).
- Support project budgeting, forecasting, and cost control processes, including monthly accruals, expenditure commitments, and payment tracking.
- Implement Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to track project performance (CPI, SPI, EV).
- Conduct variance, trend, and risk analyses; develop corrective and recovery plans as needed.
- Support cost and schedule contingency management and assist with change management, including quantifying impacts on scope, cost, and schedule.
- Prepare reports and presentations for monthly reporting cycles, phase gate reviews, and project governance requirements.
- Monitor project risks and integrate mitigation strategies into cost and schedule forecasts.
- Maintain standardized documentation, reporting templates, and file management systems.
- Collaborate with project managers, finance, and engineering teams to ensure consistency, transparency, and alignment across all project control functions.
Qualifications and Technical Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in project controls, cost management, or scheduling within a large capital project environment (nuclear or energy sector preferred).
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 and advanced Excel or Power BI reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to perform financial and schedule variance analysis and develop recovery strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management, project baselines, and month-end close processes.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$45.00 and CA$55.00
