Job Title: Construction Coordinator
Location: Revelstoke, BC (onsite)
Estimated Duration: 7 Months
Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Construction Coordinator for their Revelstoke area projects
Role Accountabilities
- Daily & weekly reporting for field observations
- Monitoring construction progress
- Monitoring project schedules for safety, quality, and adherence to contract
- Inspect construction work which may be on substations, transmission lines, and hydroelectric equipment by using excellent skills in inspection procedures and understanding of construction methods to meet deadlines and comply with building and safety codes.
- Ensure work site safety by prioritizing the safe execution of work and performing Safe Work Observations using excellent knowledge in safety standards and regulations to improve client’s safety performance.
- Support contract and/or work order administration by collaborating with contractors and/or client’s internal construction services to ensure that the work, materials, progress, and costs meet expectations so that projects are implemented as planned.
Education and Skills
- Four (4) years of construction experience.
- Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology from an Institute of Technology or relevant trades, apprenticeship courses, or equivalent
- Must hold a valid class five (5) driver's license.
- Industrial construction experience is an asset
- Utility construction experience is an asset
