Job Title: CNC Setup
Location: Arnprior, ON
Estimated Duration: Fulltime
Specific responsibilities and accountabilities include:
- Study drawings to plan sequences of steps for maximum efficiency.
- Machine Set-up using a wide range of tools and performs setups on Swiss Lathes or Swiss Turn involving very close tolerances.
- Completion of shop documentation as required.
- Follows all company policies and attendance guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Applicants must have a minimum of Grade 12 education.
- Minimum 8-10 years’ machining experience working on 4 to 8 axis mills and lathes with sub spindles.
- 5-7 years of experience setting up 4-8 axis lathes with sub-spindles and live tooling.
- Experience with machining Zr-2 and Zr-4
- Experience with optical comparator and CMM
- Experience with fine detail machining, holding tolerance of +/-.0005”
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Able to work 8 hour rotating shifts.
- Ability to program and operate CAD/CAM systems (Mastercam)
Comprehensive knowledge of CNC code (Fanuc controller)
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$88.00 and CA$79,000
