They are currently looking for an Business Systems Analyst (Senior) for Calgary, AB location.

The opportunity
Our client is seeking an Enterprise Security (ES) Performance & Risk Specialist who has knowledge and experience in understanding the complexities of the ES organization, its services, assets, systems, and vendors. The individual must have proven skills, competencies, and capacity to use information to provide insights and guide the stakeholders in proper interpretation to drive sound decisions.
 
What You’ll Do
 
As part of the ES Governance, Risk & Compliance team and in collaboration with management across the ES department, the ES Performance Specialist focuses on the development, production, and communication of performance metrics for our key services, assets and vendor management practices. This is both a technical and strategic role that requires the ability to produce and communicate insights that facilitate decisions and drive and track performance improvement efforts.
 
Track & Monitor Performance & Maturity
• Act as a leader in the definition, implementation, and maintenance of key performance indicators
• Produce dashboards and use appropriate visualizations to showcase KPIs and track progress
• Understand, report, and monitor performance targets (e.g., key vendor SLAs)
• Assess data to provide insights and communicate to stakeholders as appropriate to ensure transparency and accuracy of interpretations
• Prepare and present dashboards, metrics and KPIs during ISLT reviews and provide key insights on performance and continuous improvement.
 
Enterprise Security Data Model Expertise
• Become a key subject matter expert on our data model
• Develop requirements for producing metrics and measures in an efficient manner that ensures data quality to enable insights and artificial intelligence efforts
• Document and describe the structure, manipulation, and integrity aspects of the data stored in data management systems such as relational databases
• Work with data stewards and owners to provide data requirements and structure information in a consumable fashion
 
Driving Best Practice & Continuous Improvement
• Develop expertise in the space and maintain strong understand of all our key performance metrics, risks and desired outcomes.
• Seek guidance from vendor partners and industry experts to ensure best practice.
• Introduce innovative IT solutions and services to help achieve service goals and objectives.
 
Minimum Qualifications
• Five years in ETL (extract, load, transform) tools, techniques, data warehousing, and metadata & quality management
• Experience with modern data engineering tools in addition to strong relational database skills
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering or a related technical field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and well-versed with fundamental programming concepts and/or data structures and algorithms.
• Strong computing foundation and fundamentals, including experience with design patterns
• Ability to build excellent relationships with peers, leaders, technical teams, business users and executives
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in business communication and presentations
• A positive “can do” attitude; works through challenging situations with integrity and dignity
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience using ServiceNow for performance reporting.
