Job Title: Accounting Analyst III
Location: North York or Chatham (Hybrid 3 days Onsite a week)
Contract Duration: 12 months (with a possibility of extension)

Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and support the creation of month-end closing journal entries, reporting system adjustments, system reconciliations, and end-user reports
Prepare monthly account reconciliations
Ensure the integrity of information interfaced between billing systems, reporting systems, and ERP systems
Assist with maintaining, updating, and documenting internal control policies and procedures within the Finance Department
Provides valuable analysis and management reporting driving business decisions, on a periodic and ad-hoc basis
Liaise with internal/external auditors on SOX processes and controls relating to sales
Ensure adherence to key and non-key SOX controls
Provide support to other members of the team including cross training opportunities
Develop and implement reporting practices and processes, identify and create efficiency opportunities, and apply best practices
Identify areas of improvement in processes and related systems to increase efficiency
Foster a continuous improvement culture

MUST HAVE’S:
University Degree (Business or Accounting preferred)
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a finance/accounting or other relevant experience
A collaborator with the ability to foster strong working relationships with peers
Ability to perform in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
Keen attention to detail and accuracy
Sound analytical and problem-solving ability
Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
A strong team player with the ability to contribute to the development of others
Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills
Superior computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel

NICE TO HAVE:
Experience with SAP, Oracle, EPBCS, Power BI would be an asset
Relevant experience working with a large company
Relevant experience in the Energy/Utility sectors

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$40.00 and CA$45.00
