Job Title: Environmental Work Package Manager

Location: Burnaby, BC (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 12 Months

Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for an  Environmental Work Package Manager for their Burnaby  location

Overview:

Environment Work Package Manager to support the North Coast Transmission Project.

Role Accountabilities

  • Manage environmental contractors and associated procurement & contract administration tasks within the client’s systems and processes.
  • Coordinate responses to First Nations and senior regulatory agency representatives on environment topics.
  • Assist in mitigation development and planning.
  • Manage scope, schedule and cost progression for the work package.
  • Assist in the interpretation of environmental regulations in the context of the project activities and works.
  • Coordinate environment constraints analysis of project designs and plans. This task has a substantial emphasis on biophysical topics in a greenfield setting.
  • Travel to project area (Prince George to Terrace corridor) for meetings, field tours and workshops.
  • Provide input and support to the project team on environment topics using proactive and 'as required' tasks.

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering or relevant field
  • A minimum of ten (10 years of project management experience or equivalent.
  • Multi-disciplinary study and formal environmental assessment experience 
  • Experience supporting environmental agreements, or related project work.
  • Experience in a Project Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar project support role.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience reviewing, interpreting, and working with contract language and complex documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between ¤61.00 and ¤75.50
