Job Title: Training Logistics Coordinator

Location: Burnaby, BC (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: 8 Months

Our client is a leading energy utility that generates, purchases, distributes and sells electricity. They are currently looking for a Training Logistics Coordinator for their   Burnaby  location.

Overview:

The chosen candidate will  coordinate all training activities related to the deployment of Distribution Design Modernization to the business.

Role Accountabilities
 

  • Migrate existing Distribution Design work management capabilities from Passport to SAP 
  • Implement a modern design tool, called Automated Utility Design which combines graphical design and tabular design with engineering calculations
  • The new Design tool will integrate with SAP for the automation of bill of materials generation and job estimation and integrate with GIS for Asset location information
  • Modernize electrical connection request processes by replacing Gateway customer connections work management solution with SAP
  • Collaborate with the project team and the business to support gathering and confirming training requirements and organizational context.
  • Support assessing and translating subject matter into content that can be easily understood by target audiences.
  • Support the design and development of basic training materials for low impact changes such as presentations, job aids, guides, information brief.
  • Apply client guidelines, standards, and templates in creating materials.
  • Plan and manage training delivery to target audiences.

Education and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, Technology, Business, or related discipline
  • A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years’ experience in designing, developing, and delivering training within a project environment.
  • Project Management or other relevant business experience, an asset
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Quick learner and able to synthesize and make sense of information from multiple sources
  •  Organized, self-starter, and takes initiative
  • Ability to work independently with little direction
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet tight timelines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  •  Experience with Camtasia, Video editing software (e.g. Movie Maker), an asset

 

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$47.50 and CA$59.00
