Job Title: Bridge Engineering Leader

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Estimated Duration: Fulltime

About the Job This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a visionary Bridge Engineering Leader to join a high-performing team in Toronto. We are looking for an expert who can lead the future of bridge engineering in Canada, taking charge of transformative transit and highway projects from concept through to construction. In this role, you aren't just overseeing designs; you are driving innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation in how bridges are delivered.

As a leader within our member-owned global collective, you will have the unique opportunity to do socially useful work that leaves a lasting legacy. You will lead and inspire multidisciplinary teams, championing a culture of excellence and mentorship for junior and mid-career engineers. Our culture is collaborative and mission-driven, offering you the autonomy to shape the direction of the local Bridge & Civil Structures team while being backed by an elite international network of experts. This is an ideal time to join a growing team that values “leading by example” and total professional freedom to deliver remarkable outcomes.

Business Challenge The focus of this hire is finding a leader who can nurture and truly lead a team, rather than just being a technical participant. Personality and leadership style are critical components of this role. You must demonstrate a proven ability to develop client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and win bids in the competitive Ontario transport sector. We need someone who can navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments—including work with the MTO and Metrolinx—while delivering large-scale bridge projects (valued over $100M).

Employee Value Proposition

  1. Ownership & Freedom: Because we are owned in trust for our members, there is less red tape and more freedom to actually deliver on your vision.

  2. Global Reach, Local Impact: You have the autonomy to shape the future of the Toronto bridge team with the full backing and resources of a massive international network.

  3. Reward: Beyond a competitive base, our members participate in a Global Profit Share plan twice a year, ensuring everyone benefits from our collective success.

Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must bring at least 18+ years of experience in bridge engineering, with a clear record of delivering large-scale projects. You must be a registered P.Eng. in Ontario and possess advanced proficiency in structural analysis software (such as Midas or CSiBridge). Deep expertise in local design codes (MTO, Metrolinx, AREMA, CSA) is essential.

While a Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is preferred, we highly value experience with alternative delivery models (PDB, Alliance, DB, P3). Most importantly, you must demonstrate the “soft skills” required to lead and nurture a team of engineers while maintaining an established network within the Ontario infrastructure sector.

Salary expectations for this role are between $190,000 – $220,000

The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$190,000 and CA$220,000

Our voluntary benefits offering includes medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits.
