Senior Projects Reporting Analyst
Role summary
Own the design and implementation of benchmarking and performance reporting for program and project controls. This role combines deep Primavera functional expertise with strong analytics, financial modeling, and Power BI reporting capability. The focus is consistent, trusted reporting that improves schedule quality visibility and forecasting discipline.
Key outcomes
- Benchmarking framework and reporting suite implemented across the portfolio
- High-quality dashboards and reports that enable cross-project analysis (internal and external benchmarking)
- Repeatable reporting processes that highlight schedule quality issues, forecasting drift, and performance trends
- Practical changes implemented in Primavera (and EcoSys where applicable) to support consistent structures and reporting
Responsibilities
- Design and implement benchmarking and project performance analytics, including KPI definitions, reporting logic, and rollout approach
- Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting outputs that combine schedule, actuals, forecast, and financial performance
- Perform schedule quality analysis and develop reporting that surfaces key issues (logic, constraints, float, progress quality, variance)
- Define (and potentially implement) practical Primavera configuration changes (WBS structures, coding, filters, layouts, data entry guidance)
- Support financial modeling and analysis related to forecasting accuracy, plan vs actuals, and variance drivers
- Develop standardized reporting packs and routines for project and program stakeholders
- Partner with supervisors and project controls teams to improve actuals data quality through feedback loops, exceptions, and validation routines
- Document report definitions, data sources, calculation methods, and data quality assumptions
Required qualifications and experience
- 7+ years in project controls reporting, performance analytics, or project reporting roles supporting industrial capital projects
- Deep Primavera P6 functional knowledge, including WBS structures and how to implement practical changes within P6
- Strong Power BI capability, including data modeling fundamentals and dashboard build experience
- Strong quantitative skills including financial modeling and variance analysis
- Experience designing and implementing benchmarking programs and performance reporting
Nice to have
- EcoSys knowledge preferred
- Experience working in power generation or nuclear environments
- Exposure to data integration concepts and working with architects/data engineers
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$70.00 and CA$90.00
