Quality Control Inspector – Electrical

Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector – Electrical supports complex infrastructure and energy projects at an industrial nuclear facility in Ontario. This role is responsible for ensuring electrical work is executed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, project specifications, and quality requirements. Working closely with construction, engineering, and quality teams, the successful candidate will provide field-level quality oversight, support issue resolution, and help drive safe, compliant, and efficient project execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and verifications of electrical installations to confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards

• Review electrical work packages, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality documentation

• Verify proper installation, testing, and turnover of electrical systems and equipment

• Identify non-conformances, support corrective actions, and work collaboratively with construction teams to resolve issues

• Interface professionally with client and regulatory representatives during inspections and walkdowns

• Ensure adherence to the organization’s Quality Program while supporting practical, solutions-oriented execution

• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, and construction teams to support integrated project delivery

• Maintain accurate quality records, inspection reports, and verification documentation

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure work is performed in accordance with safety requirements at all times

Job Qualifications

• Electrical background with industrial or heavy construction experience

• Journeyman Electrician or Red Seal certification considered a strong asset

• Experience performing electrical quality inspections or quality oversight on complex construction projects

• Ability to read, interpret, and critically assess electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications

• Familiarity with CSA codes, quality systems, and regulated project environments

• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate downstream impacts and sequencing requirements

• Comfortable working independently in less structured, evolving project environments

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with construction and quality teams

• Prior experience on remote or industrial project sites considered an asset

• Eligibility to obtain required site security clearance
