PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Project Manager – Feeders will report directly to the Project Execution Director and have the overall responsibility for successful execution of major work evolutions on FCFR, including achieving our operational goals for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Safety, Quality, Schedule, Cost. The primary responsibilities of the role include: schedule development and maintenance, scope/change management, budget management, organizational management (establish adequate resources to perform the work) and overall coordination of work groups (construction, safety, engineering, training, procurement, tooling, contract management, project controls and key client stakeholders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- All Feeder Replacement work – removal and installation series work
- Feeder waste movement and processing, from removal to completion of processing at Retube Waste Processing Building
- Vault coordination (Construction Field Integration Officers/CFIOs)
- Responsible for development, maintenance/update, review and adequate distribution of the project schedule
- Responsible for validation and management of project budget for assigned work segment
- Responsible for producing/validating and set-up of organizational structure to execute scope per division of responsibilities
- Responsible for producing/validating and maintaining a staffing plan, Manpower Loading Forecast (MFL) for assigned scope
- Identification and procurement of materials and services to perform the work
- Ensure personnel are trained/qualified per the applicable Project Quality Program and project-specific requirements
- Responsible for overall coordination of project work groups to ensure collective focus on execution goals, and tracking/completion of all actions and deliverables across all work groups
- Responsible for implementing the project readiness process for construction execution ex; Detailed Window Logic, Readiness Check Sheet Implementation, Report Card Status Reporting.
- Attends (or arranges representation for) and supports project planning meetings, including T-meetings, integration meetings, internal and customer reporting meetings, etc (as required)
- Responsible for coordination of prerequisite and execution task readiness in accordance to client and station reporting requirements – includes schedule and risk review meetings with construction management, supervision, engineering, quality, procurement and subcontractors to ensure logistics, execution strategy and schedule compliance are understood and achievable.
- Ensures outage readiness milestones are achieved.
- Responsible for set-up and management of shift structure, including effective management of turnovers (days to nights, shift cycle to shift cycle), to optimize efficiency
- Responsible for identification, management and maintenance of equipment and tooling to perform the work
- Responsible to ensure effective communications is maintained with BP support and stakeholders such as Radiation Protection, operations, PCC management, station management, etc
- Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management as needed.
- Responsible for adherence to all policies, standards, procedures including but not limited to Safety, Quality, Code of Conduct, Business Ethics
- Reporting format to be: written dashboard weekly, written input to monthly report, verbal report at internal management and client meetings
- Responsible for maintaining reports (with support of Project Controls and other depts. as required) on project performance per scope of work listed in division of responsibility. Key metrics include: Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule
- Responsible for tracking and reporting risks, holds and opportunities associated with the approved project schedule
- Other responsibilities as delegated by the Project Execution Director
- SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide supervisory guidance to project personnel
- Administration of performance management and succession plans
- Preparation of job description, roles and responsibilities for staff
- Ensure all employees are fully trained for the function they are expected to fulfill
- FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Responsible for compliance to baseline budget related to division of responsibilities
- Responsible to report deviations to budget, and comply with the project change management process
- Due to the nature of work conducted by our client, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment
- Our background check process includes a full security check and clearance process as well as reference checks. The security clearance process includes a comprehensive list of previous residences, employment, education and other pertinent information. Those with a valid Bruce Power security clearance are strongly preferred.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$150,000 and CA$200,000
