Job Title: Field Operator II
Location: sarnia, ON (Hybrid)
Estimated Duration: 6 Months
Position Summary
-
Coordinates day-to-day operations with the control centre team for the routing of deliveries and receipts to local terminal and refinery facilities.

Conducts sampling and testing of crude oil and natural gas liquids to ensure all measurement systems are functioning accurately.

Performs duties with a strong commitment to safety, environmental protection, and regulatory compliance.

Completes maintenance and housekeeping tasks at terminal and field locations as required.
Key Responsibilities
-
Measure, test, and sample crude oil and NGL products, documenting checks on measurement devices at receipt and delivery points.

Observe meter proving activities at refinery sites and verify meter reports for accuracy.

Track and reconcile receipt and delivery volumes across the terminal area.

Operate and monitor the master flow computer and related instrumentation.

Collect and test Quality Assurance Samples (QAS), prepare shipments to third-party labs, and maintain all related equipment logs.

Maintain terminal facilities, laboratory spaces, and sampling equipment.

Act as a first responder during terminal emergencies and assume operational responsibility in the absence of management.

Conduct tank inspections, level checks, and annual tank bottom surveys.

Perform additional site duties including security rounds, vehicle upkeep, and integrity checks on safety equipment such as gas detectors, respiratory protection, and fire extinguishers.
Working Conditions

Field-based environment with travel required within the regional area.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma (technical education preferred).

Completion of internal or industry measurement training considered an asset.

Intermediate computer literacy and strong attention to detail.
The pay range that the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position is between CA$28.00 and CA$33.00
