Job Title: Manufacturing Project Coordinator

Job Purpose
The Manufacturing Project Coordinator will oversee the product line to support the T Parts program which involves the supply of custom engineered equipment, built to print, to support the fuel handling systems.
The Manufacturing Project Coordinator will be the main point of contact for customer Supply Chain / Buyers, supporting the customer from inquire to quote through final delivery of the product to the customer.
The Manufacturing Project Coordinator will be focusing on driving improvements around proactive planning with a focus on schedule accuracy, Manufacturing Engineer (ME) resource profiles, schedule updates, consistent work planning and workplans, and driving improvements for project success. The Manufacturing Project Coordinator will be working closely with ME leadership to drive these improvements and standardization. Planning is a key part of project success, and The Manufacturing Project Coordinator will continue to drive scheduling improvements with a focus on resource management across our project portfolios.
This role will work with various manufacturing and support functions to coordinate, report on and, where necessary, expedite the flow of materials to the various project work orders and work locations. They will also assist the MEs with organization, tracking and management of work orders and other project documents including non-conformances (NR’s), concession applications, procedures, reports etc.
Accountabilities
Accountability 1:

- Main point of contact for customer Supply Chain / Buyers
- Build relationships with Fuel Handling end users so we can better understand the events driving the RFQs and build a more strategic relationship
- Coordinate and participate in the preparation of estimates, and proposals as required (including Contract Change Requests)
- Take the lead on quote/proposal opportunities including initiating the opportunity, identifying historical information related to the part, preparing pricing and proposal documents and ensuring proposal deadlines are met
Accountability 2:

- Launching new opportunities – kicking off each project with the project contributors.
- Create and manage P6 Schedule to reflect accurate timelines and resource profiles for all T Part Projects.
- Assist manufacturing team leads and project managers in developing and maintaining a project baseline schedule including resource planning and costs.
- Gather schedule information, update, analyze, and prepare both status and financial reports of the project’s progress.
- Liaise directly with the Manufacturing Engineering Specialist / Manufacturing Engineer (ME) for project schedule inputs.
- Expedite materials, work orders, document workflows.

- Customer reporting as required in conjunction with team leads.
- Participate in coordinating / producing cost or schedule recovery / mitigation plans, as well as monitoring scope creep throughout the product life cycle.
- Proactively identify product risk and, in conjunction with the ME and team lead, analyze solutions, and take decisive action to resolve issues.
- Support presentations or in some cases present and report on product status, metrics, issues, risks, and product resource needs.
- Set up and facilitate internal team meeting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Creation and management of job budgets.
- Follow proper project closure process.
- Coordinate and participate in the preparation of estimates, schedules and proposals as required (including Contract Change Requests.
- Identify and champion opportunities for internal improvement on an annual basis
Knowledge and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent from an accredited university, or College Diploma in Business Administration or technical discipline with sufficient experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Manager, or manufacturing engineer/specialist in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid analytical and computer skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint).
- Experience in Nuclear is an asset but not a requirement.
- Experience with Primavera P6 or other scheduling software is an asset but not a requirement.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
