Job Title: Project Coordinator FCFR
Estimated Duration: 12 month contract
Location: Kincardine, ON
The Project Coordinator will support the project team by coordinating and organizing project activities, resources and information. The Project Coordinator will work closely with all project team members to ensure adequate project alignment and coordination is occurring at all levels. Duties include monitoring and reporting project performance, tracking completion of work as scheduled, following up on the status of actions for the project team, and liaising between different areas of the project as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Acts as the primary contact for coordination of project information.
- Effectively communicates and coordinates information and activities within the team and across functions such as project controls, engineering, construction and external contractors, vendors and other stakeholders.
- Regularly tracks progress through Project Managers or other team leads and ensures work is progressing by proactively identifying, coordinating and resolving issues.
- Keeps the Senior Program Manager, Projects informed about project status and promptly escalates any potential delays to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
- Reviews requirements and assigns actions to project staff with instructions as necessary. Provides policy and procedural advice as required.
- Verifies and analyzes the accuracy of data used/generated by the project; resolves discrepancies and problems.
- Acts as a resource to perform research, analyze information, provide documentation and prepare reports.
- Tracks resource loading and identifies gaps in project skills and/or resources.
- Works closely with the project managers to ensure staff projections and manpower forecasting is reflective of the needs of the team.
- Chairs/coordinates/attends meetings, assists with determination of project requirements, records technical minutes of meeting and distributes information as required.
- Gathers information and data from the field/other teams to support project activities.
- Maintains project tracking logs for action items, risks, issues and decisions.
- Organizes project files and documentation.
- Processes correspondence and documentation as required.
- Other duties as required.
Skills and Knowledge
- Confident in situations where challenging or sensitive information has to be delivered.
- Proficient in Visio and the MS Office Suite of products.
- P6 Primavera experience is considered an asset.
- Effective Communication: Strong verbal, written, presentation and facilitations skills.
- Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines, organize and manage multiple priorities

Education
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Project Management or an MBA.
- Certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project or
- Program Management Professional (PMP, PgMP) and/or demonstrated familiarity with the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) is considered an asset.
- Certified Associate in Project Management | CAPM – PMI is also considered an asset
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience as a Project Coordinator supporting Project Managers in the delivery of projects.
- Strong technical background in areas of automation and tooling is preferred but not mandatory
- Nuclear industry experience is preferred but not mandatory
- Active Security Clearance is a big plus
